Qualifications/professional registration/other requirements

  • Certified copies of all qualifications must be produced at time of interview
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated appropriate level of knowledge, expertise and currency in a relevant science/forensic/technical discipline
  • IACIS [International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists] forensic computer examiner certification [highly desirable but not essential]

The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to focus strategically, inspire purpose and direction and harness opportunities.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a multi-disciplinary forensic computing investigative environment, with a demonstrated record of achievement in both strategic and operational management.
  • Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience of contemporary forensic computing investigative techniques and methodologies and the application of same in a law enforcement context.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to lead, persuade and negotiate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated and substantial experience in managing computer forensic resources with the demonstrated ability to make clear decisions and judgements under heavy workloads and in a high pressure work environment.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing and developing professional staff and demonstrated high level of self-motivation and initiative and managing positive working relationships.
