The EU Home Affairs Sub-Committee takes evidence from Jane Racz, Director, Erasmus+ UK National Agency, Madeleine Rose, Deputy Director, Erasmus+ UK National Agency and the Minister of State for Universities, Science, Research and Innovation, Chris Skidmore MP.
This is the last evidence session of the Sub-Committee’s inquiry on the implications of Brexit for UK participation in the EU student exchange and university research funding programmes: Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020. The November 2018 draft Withdrawal Agreement would facilitate continued UK participation in both programmes until the end of their current phases in 2020, but whether and how the UK will associate with their successor programmes remains unclear. The first panel will focus on the implications of leaving the EU for the UK’s participation in Erasmus. The Minister will then answer questions about the impact of Brexit on both programmes.
